We are on the eve of the mass attack of a new car, and the concept is revealed when we present the press show of the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
It helped launch the recent opening of the all-new Land Rover Discovery off-road serial SUV. Massive difference from the previous model, the new Discovery continues to offer three-row seats for seven with great variety and off-road capability.
The Land Rover Discovery, which should go on sale sometime in mid-2017, is brand new from scratch. Most of the heavy steel has been replaced with the original aluminum construction, which reduces the weight of the LR4 by almost 1,000 pounds. But weight loss does not mean any compromise in features, as Land Rover boasts that the new Discovery can tow up to 8,201 pounds with the right equipment.
Another eye-catching aspect of 2017 Land Rover Discovery is its strange resemblance to the original concept. Land Rover said production options would be very similar to concepts. But with such statements you will never know until the car really goes into production, as car manufacturers in the past could not deliver it.
Under the hood of the new Land Rover Discover is a 3-liter, 340-hp Jaguar V6 supercharged engine. and 332 lb-ft of torque. The accompanying gas mill is a brand new 254 hp turbocharged V6 diesel engine. and 443 lb-ft of cool torque.
Land Rover will first sell about 529 First Edition models with packaging of special equipment and colors to mark the launch of the car.
